You know the situation probably: helping someone to process images but no usable software around. With an internetconnection its possible to download imagemagick, the incredibly versatile and free software.
But it is even easier: use the imagemagick software online over the internet using a great wrapper around it: MagickStudio.
Some practice is required and it certainly helps if you are familiar with imagemagick terms, but hey: you get a rich suite of tools for free to help you out!
The software can be installed on your own website or used online at Net4tv.com.

Bibble labs have release a new iteration of their great software. There was a need because of the release of a next generation of DSLR cameras: the Sony A100, Nikon D80 and Canon D400 / XTi.
That is what this software is for: you can take RAW images and Bibble lets you do anything you want with it to get the most out of you and your equipment. This includes compensating for any suboptimal things like lens distortion and image noise.
Super about Bibble is that they not only support Windows and Mac: they also have a Linux version. Suppliers that do so often know what they are doing and have an opinion about standardization.
And no, their software is not free of charge. However, with 70 or 130 dollars you can do things that would normally require much more expensive hardware.
Check it our at the Bibblelabs website.

By now we know a lot of specs from the brand-new Nikon D80 - mainly the things inherited from the professional D200: a faster and much better image processor and a 11-point autofocus.
Also great is the far better and more dynamic İSO control.
Owners of earlier Nikon DSLRs may notice the different memory cards: sell your Compact Flashes and start buying SD - preferably the high speed versions, not slowing down the camera speed. Ah, a new battery again… Pity.
However, there is a lot of good news, including a far better kit lens on its way!
Read all about the D80 in a 30 page review, answering all your questions at Dpreview.
