An excellent review can be read at imaging resource on the Nikon D80.
This successor to the great D70 is equipped with a lot of improvements, borrowed from “higher” cameras, but it’s price looks a bit high… or is it worth it?

There is a lot of buzz going on in digitalcamera land: every models seems to need an image stabilizer.
Is that true - and is it really helpful to build them into very small compact cameras?
Digitalcamerainfo decided to take the test and put 5 modern compacts into a difficult test to show what they are worth.
And: that’s a lot! Maybe there is no ideal camera doing everything perfect, but the test shows that image stabilizing is very, very helpful. Many hopeless cases can be prevented if you turn this feature on!

People at DCresource keep making us happy with very good camera reviews.
They compare every new cam to the same set of circumstances, so it makes a lot of sense to read the review and draw your conclusions.
In this case, the powershots come out of the test with not many amazing results - they do exactly what they should do: taking the finest pictures you can get with a compact camera!

At DCresource a Samsung NV10 is tested - and if they test, they do it well!
The NV10 is one out of Samsung’s new series of compact cameras. Most of the specifications are not very unique, but the styling is great and handling… er… is different.
Most cameras have either a lot of buttons everywhere or just a few, including a fourway-button to navigate the menus.
Samsung’s revolutionary system uses two rows of buttons, with which you can select items on the intersections.
According to the reviewers, it takes some time to get used to, but as soon as you get the hang of it… it works perfectly!
Maybe the most striking thing is that Samsung has the courage to think in different ways. That’s good: that’s what takes the digicam revolution a step further!
