Few areas are so interesting as the overlap between low-end cameras and high-end mobile phones. In the everlasting desire to own the device that-can-do-it-all there are new hopes every time a new top mobile is released. And 3.2 MegaPixel is top. 3 x optical zoom, made by Carl Zeiss is even more top, so this Nokia N93 must be the ideal companion, then?

Well… in some way. Obviously, you can’t pack a 3x zoom in a small phone. And there’s more inside: this is one of the most sophisticated mobile assistents around, clearly a wonderful device!
Picture quality indeed is better than ordinairy phones and camera characteristics are like an entry level compact cam with enhanced exposure options, macro possibility, etc.

Question remains if one should go for one device doing everything (with a few compromises) or two top-class gadgets… That’s very personal, and also depends on how easy one forgets to pocket an electronic companion. All I’m saying is: choose whatever you like, as long as you can always make that unexpected picture!
