Kodak EasyShare Z700 Digital Camera

Kodak Easyshare Z700

The Kodak Easyshare Z700 digital camera has been welcomed by many. Here’s a snippet from the reviews in the December 2005 What Digital Camera Magazine:

“Very nearly delivers on its magnificent specification; very nearly, but not quite. The Z700 is not the speediest camera in the world to focus but does so with some assurance. In terms of image quality and performance it’s not quite on par with its specs.”

Pros: Great specification at a great price.
Cons: A bit lethargic, slightly blocky images.
Overall Score: 82%

Kodak Easyshare Z650

Kodak Z650

The Kodak EasyShare Z650 has a 10x Schneider-Kreuznach zoom lens, and a 6 megapixel CCD sensor. It has a recommended retail price of $350.

Digital Camera Info Reviews: “[It offers] a fairly fast lens and a full complement of manual controls to make up for it. Kodak’s Z series cameras are a step up from their beginner C series and target a segment of users ready to experiment with a longer lens, but still requiring plenty of options for shooting automatically.”

To be released on March 15.

Kodak Changes Logo

Kodak Logo

A new company logo was announced by Kodak Chairman and Chief Executive, Antonio Perez, at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Perez also called on the industry to cooperate in making digital imaging and digital photography simpler and more relevant to more people.

The new logo uses a custom-designed typeface, which is both contemporary and flexible. It will be applied right across Kodak’s businesses, which include, handheld digital cameras and computer software. The logo will also adorn Kodak’s buildings around the world.

Betty Noonan, Director of Brand Management and Marketing Services, commented: “We want to break out of the box, in a lot of ways.”

Kodak also announced a technology-sharing and marketing alliance with Motorola aimed at making imaging more widespread in electronic devices.
