The Sony Cyber-shot H5 digital camera gets an excellent review over at Digital Camera Info. Here’s a taster: ‘The new Sony Cyber-shot H-series cameras are worthy successors to the ultra zoom H1. The original camera was a great concept but didn’t have the star power. The H5 just might have it. The new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5 has 7.2 megapixels, a huge LCD screen with great 230,000-pixel resolution and an optically image stabilized Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 12x zoom lens. The construction is lightweight and portable and still fairly sturdy. It has manual functionality and a few scene modes to boot. The new cameras have a wide ISO range from 80-1000, making low light photography possible without the use of the flash. The Sony H5 will retail for $499 when it becomes available in May.’ [Update: June 9]

Steve’s Digicams has got a good review of the Sony Cybershot S600 digital camera: ‘The Sony Cyber-shot S600 is a very good all-around performer. It shuns ultra compact styling and the trend of providing a 2 1/2-inch LCD without an optical viewfinder, instead providing a versatile set of features that are useful in every day shooting situations; I especially liked the S600’s wide angle zoom range, very powerful flash and versatile range of sensitivity settings. With very good image quality, 6-megapixels of resolution, high-quality movies and an MSRP of under $200, the Sony DSC-S600 is a terrific value, especially if you shoot a lot of indoor family events.’

There’s a review of the Sony Cybershot T9 digital camera over at Imaging Resource: ‘Arguably the best model yet in Sony’s diminutive Cyber-shot “T” series, the Cybershot T9 delivers good picture quality and a great feature set in a rugged, super-compact all-metal body. The 6.0-megapixel CCD is an nice feature in a camera this small, and the large LCD monitor is quite impressive as well.’

The Sony Cybershot DSC-T5 is the newest of Sony’s ultra-slim digital cameras, and has a 5-megapixel sensor and 3x optical zoom lens.

NFHQ has this review: “It is certainly an attractively designed camera, and at just 20.3mm thick and 139g including battery and card it is one of the skinniest and lightest cameras on the market. It can slip into a shirt pocket with barely a bulge, making it ideal for social occasions. Priced at around $279.00 - $350.00 online, or £279.99 in the High Street, it is competing with the likes of the Pentax Optio S5n, the Canon IXUS 55 and the Olympus FE-5500.”
